While Nopi isn’t strictly vegetarian, vegetables do unashamedly take pride of place on the menu. The offering changes with the seasons, but you can expect Middle Eastern-inspired dishes of the calibre that’s become synonymous with the Ottolenghi name – that is, nothing short of delicious. Courgette and manouri fritters are light and delightfully spiced, roasted aubergine is perfectly paired with tamarind yoghurt, while a side of truffle polenta chips will test your allegiance to french fries. The atmosphere upstairs is elegant with white marble and brass dominating the interiors, but there’s also the option to eat at communal tables downstairs for those after a more informal meal.

The food was good. The service RUINED IT! Upon ordering they told us when we had to vacate the table. Then they came back shortly before the “deadline” and said we could take another 15 minutes!
Now we had a longstanding reservation. We were not seated as a favor. It was rush rush rush like I’ve never experienced before. What is the point of having a nice meal if you are under pressure to order and leave?
I felt like I was the piece of meat. Shameful is the only way to describe it.

We stumbled upon NOPI after wandering around Soho with no restaurant in our sites. Luckily I looked on my app and found this spot.
They didn’t have enough seats in the main dining hall so they brought us downstairs to the communal tables. Even though we were seated in the corner, it didn’t feel that uncomfortable and we were able to enjoy our meal without a hitch.
We ordered the following:
pork belly
green beans
radicchio
scallops
burrata
I was surprised to find everything to be incredibly fresh. An LA friend told me that’s I’d be disappointed with the quality of produce in the London restaurants and this restaurant definitely proved her wrong. The green beans were especially crisp and fresh as well as the radicchio.
Service was attentive the whole night and we were just smiling throughout the whole meal. Highly recommended spot to come, especially if you’re in Soho.
